Job Title: Senior Product Development Specialists
Location: G.T.A.
Salary: Commensurate with experience, qualifications

Several of our clients, (leading food manufacturers) currently have openings for Senior Product Development Specialists. In this role you will be responsible for initiating and productively completing product development projects that support both customer requirements and company objectives, within regulatory constraints. Your combination of strong technical, interpersonal and leadership skills will provide project guidance and mentoring to other product developers. The ideal candidate will have a
high degree of imagination and creativity in developing new products, processes and ingredient improvements. The incumbent will be required to:

  • Develop new products and applicable formulation and component ingredient specifications.

  • Manage product development projects; hands-on participation in the related technical activities.

  • Ensure smooth transition of new products from laboratory to plant scale up; participate in plant trials.

  • Operate in accordance with GLP’s and SOP’s.

Qualifications:

You must have a minimum of five (5) years product development experience, as a member of a well established food product development team. This experience should be complimented with strong communication, presentation, relationship and project management skills. You are team oriented, self-motivated and a self-directed individual who believes in continuous improvement and is always looking for new challenges. To be eligible for this opportunity you should have:

  • BSc in Food Sciences or a related discipline

  • Strong sensory skills

  • Excellent computer skills with MS Office applications

  • Ability for occasional travel

  • Formal culinary training would be an asset
