We at BONGARD & ASSOCIATES (2002) LTD. are experienced, professional recruiters, committed to excellence in performance as well as results. We provide reliable, efficient service to employers in the food, and food related manufacturing companies, in the following disciplines:

We work with our client to produce a job specification report. This will include detailed information on the company itself, the position and the ideal candidate.

We interview and assess all candidates prior to presenting them to the client.

We only present candidates that match at least 80% of the criteria outlined in the job specification report.

A verbal report of each candidate, which will include:

  1. how the candidate measures up to the job specification report,
  2. reference checks to further gauge credibility, experience, personality traits and communication skills,
  3. what makes this person a good candidate for the position?

Consult with the client to develop a short list of candidates. This will be done by prioritizing the job specification report to get a better understanding of what criteria is more important than others. 

After our client selects a candidate for employment, we furnish follow-up services to help ensure that the hiring process runs smoothly. Should any questions or specific problems arise, we will work with both parties to encourage constructive communication and lasting solutions.

Health & Safety
A University of Waterloo graduate with seven (7) plus years experience in the Pharmaceutical industry makes this highly motivated safety professional a valuable asset to any manufacturing environment. He brings with him the ability to support the company by providing training knowledge and guidance to all levels of the organization. He is able to coordinate and participate in pre-start health and safety programs, develop and review SOP’s and technical manuals, comply with acts and regulations, liaise with Ministry of Labour and is a standing member of the change control committee. Currently employed he is seeking a new challenge in an upwardly mobile food or food related environment where he can become part of a mid-upper level management team.

Operations Manager
With several years experience in the food industry this accomplished individual is an effective manager with proven leadership and motivational skills developed by hands on experience. He is an energetic, family oriented individual who can see the "Big Picture". He brings a wide range of expertise (Production, Supply Chain, Sales, and Finance) to the table. This candidate is looking for a challenging mid - upper management role in an organization where he can best utilize his knowledge.

Product Developer (Food)
With several years experience in innovative Product Development (food, nutrition) this individual has been involved in a variety of product projects from raw ingredient through to product launch. This candidate’s responsibilities include: shelf life studies, plant trials, raw material improvement and reviewing formulations for cost optimization. She is very professional, energetic, has excellent communication skills and a B.Sc. in Food Technology.


Production / Plant Manager
With several years experience in all facets of manufacturing this well rounded coach and communicator currently manages 200 unionized employees in an internationally known food processing facility. This individual oversees all departments (7) ensuring that production commitments are met. Hiring/firing, inventory control of raw materials, budgeting, identification and implementation of continuous process improvements are among the many skills this candidate brings to the table He is seeking a new challenge in an upwardly mobile food or food related organization where he can become part of an upper management team.

Production / Quality Assurance Manager
A quality minded food industry professional with a B.Sc. and a M.Sc. (University of Manitoba) is what this individual is all about. His organizational skills and dependable work ethic make him an asset to any food manufacturing facility. This candidate has conducted equipment and premise audits, raw material audits, employee audits and food product audits with modern methodologies. This person with above average leadership, problem solving and managerial skills is an individual thinker, fast learner and a team player that can see the big picture.


Quality Assurance / Food Safety
Currently employed, this candidate with a M.Sc. in Food Science (Guelph) is supervising a Quality Assurance Department in a food manufacturing facility. Responsibilities include: liaison with government and third party auditors, maintain / upgrade HACCP Systems, analysis of non conformities and implementation of corrective actions, identification of food safety hazards, and experience responding to and investigation of customer complaints and inquiries. This person is organized, detail oriented, an excellent communicator and is looking for a responsible position with opportunity for advancement.
